“And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him]…”

– Ephesians 2:6 (AMP)

Now that’s power! If this is new to you, you may very well wonder what kind of power you have, so let’s start at the beginning.

If you grew up in church, you’ve probably heard that we are to imitate Jesus. We know that an imitation is never really as good as the real thing. Walmart may make sneakers with a logo that somewhat resembles a swoosh, but they will never be Nikes. They are just an imitation. Please understand this:  if you only strive to imitate Jesus, you will fall short of the power you are created to walk in.

When you were saved, you were born again, but who were you born from? 1 Peter 1:23 says in the amplified bible that we are now born of the Word! Who is the Word? Jesus is the Word! (John 1:1 AMP). You are not just an imitation of Jesus, you are exactly like Him! Let this sink in…it’ll change your life!

Now that we got that down, listen to this! When Jesus was raised from the dead He was seated at the right hand of the Father, and you were raised with Him! When you were born again, you became a partaker in Jesus’ resurrection. “And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him]…” (Ephesians 2:6). You are seated with Jesus at the right hand of the Father in authority. You have the very same authority and power that Jesus has, right now! Remember from 1 John 4:17, “as He is,” right now, not later, not when we get to Heaven, but right now, “so are we in this world!”

Not only are we seated with Him in all power and authority, but we have been given the Name of Jesus (Ephesians 3:14-15). And nothing is higher than the Name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-10). We have that Name and that Name carries power.

You have everything that Jesus has—you are born from His seed, you have His seat, and you have His Name. As He is, so you are here on earth! Grab ahold of this! AS HE IS, SO ARE YOU ON EARTH! And do you know how much power the devil has? NONE (Colossians 2:15)!

It all comes down to what you do with what Jesus did for you. Now walk in the power and authority that is given to you and live victoriously!

If the devil tries to come at you with sickness, lack, or temptation you now know that you have all power over him. You tell him to get under your feet, in the Name of Jesus. Satan has been disarmed; it is up to you to keep him in his place! It’s about what you do with what Jesus did. This is my challenge to you: use the power given to you and make sure the devil stays in his place, which is under your feet!

“Thank you, Father, that I have been born of Christ! You have raised me up together with Him and seated me up high in the heavenly places, far above every name that can be named. You have given me the Name above all names! Jesus has disarmed the devil and all of his demons. You have stripped them and made them powerless and I have all power over them! Today, I take my place of power and authority in Christ and I keep the devil in his place below—shoe level! Because as Jesus is, so am I here on earth! In Jesus’ name I pray. amen!”
