everydayJOY

“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”

-Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)

Do you know Jesus, or have you just simply heard about Him? Just hearing about someone doesn’t mean you have a personal relationship with them. Well, let me introduce you to Jesus, maybe in a way you haven’t experienced yet.

Jesus came to give you life to enjoy (John 10:10). He longs to have a personal intimate relationship with you. He wants you to know Him. He wants to reveal Himself to you, and show you all the good things He has prepared for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). The more you get to know Him and grow in Him by spending time with Him and reading the Word, the more you begin to find out what you have access to, which is all that He is. (1 John 4:17) One of these things is joy.

In Psalm 16:11, the word presence also means “In His FACE is fullness of joy.” That is an understanding of Jesus and who He is for you, in you, and through you. Having a revelation of these things brings such joy to your life.

There is nothing natural about that joy. It comes from deep within your spirit and just kind of bubbles out! It’s more than happiness. Happiness is based on the things that happen and the circumstances of your everyday life— the things you are seeing. It’s a feeling you get, and it goes just as fast as it comes.

Joy isn’t a feeling. So, if one day you don’t “feel” like being joyful don’t let that move you because joy is a presence. It’s a choice! Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the Lord has made; [WE WILL] rejoice and be glad in it.” You have to choose everyday to be joyful no matter the circumstance coming at you. How? Choose to stay in the presence of the Lord!

You can literally allow joy, true joy from Jesus, to empower you everyday. When difficult things come at you, whether at school, work, or at home, this joy will bubble up out of your belly and strengthen you. (John 7:38) This will happen because you know your victory is in Jesus.

Joy and victory work together. Because you know you’re victorious through Jesus, you won’t be able to be anything except joyful. Jesus is our victory (Romans 8:37). He already overcame the devil, praise God, so just laugh!

everydayMISSION:

Try it right now… HA HA HA! When the enemy tries to come against you, let out a laugh even if you don’t feel like it. The devil is powerless; you have all the power to keep the devil where he belongs— under your feet! Wouldn’t you be intimidated if your opponent laughed at you after you delivered your worst blow? You might think he knows something you don’t…!

Joy is expressing your stand from victory. When you get into this supernatural place of joy, there are no limits, so don’t hold it in anymore. Let it all out! Let your joy spread to those around you. Let it become contagious. Wake up in the morning and thank the Lord for the joy He gives you daily to strengthen you (Nehemiah 8:10). He wants to overtake you with His presence and bring joy to you…everyday!

everydayCONVERSATION:

“Lord, I thank You that Your limitless, supernatural joy is for me everyday. I confess that I do have Your joy and it does strengthen me. I won’t let anything in the natural move me. I fix my eyes on You, Jesus and I behold all that You are. I constantly pursue a relationship with You. You, Jesus, are my everydayJoy!”
